Spoke to a friend this afternoon who recently read and recommends these books:
Chuck Klosterman IV: A Decade of Curious People and Dangerous Ideas by Chuck Klosterman - released in August 2006, this books is a collection of previously published interviews (Things That are True), previously published opinion articles (Things That Might Be True), and a semi-autobiographical novella (Something That Isn't True At All). Klosterman's most famous books is Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs.
Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates (2000) by Tom Robbins - this satirical novel (Robbins's seventh), released in 2000, follows a philosophical & hedonistic CIA agent (supposedly loosely inspired by a friend of Robbins's) in a wheelchair (due to a curse) on his outlandish and humorous adventures.
Neither book seems like something I would typically read, but still I'll add them to my list of books to read.
Because I really need more books to read.
